TESTIMONIALS

Deborah – Lung Cancer

Thank goodness for Holly Brown and her team at Look Good Feel Fab, they are incredible.  In

anticipation of a therapy that was known to cause facial breakouts and drying skin they prepared

me prior to the therapy with a skin care regime, using products that were created with oncology

patients.   The facials were a great way to feel good and relax.  A couple weeks into my treatment

my skin was reacting to the chemo, Holly worked with me to find the right products to ease the pain.

My skin started to heal and I began to feel more confident.  I continue to use her products and my

skin looks better now than ever before.

My husband just looked at my face and said it was beautiful!  The scar on my nose is almost gone.  You guys are phenomenal.  Magic hands.

Victoria – Breast Cancer

June 3, 2013.  It was a Monday and it was a beautiful day.  It was also the day I found out I had breast cancer.  From surgeries to chemotherapy treatments to radiation, at every turn my skin was being attacked.  My skin was dried out, itchy, cracking, and unhealthy looking. That was until I was introduced to Holly Brown, LE.  I met Holly while I was in the middle of my chemotherapy treatments at a seminar for skin care during and after cancer treatment.  At my first appointment we discussed my history and my pre and post cancer skin. After receiving my skin treatment from Holly she sent me home with some trial kits.  I used them religiously and the difference it made to my skin was amazing! I will say the biggest compliment came to me in December 2013.  I had just had my bilateral mastectomy and was told by my nurse that I had the “best skin she had ever seen on a cancer patient”.   If it were not for Holly and the remarkable services and products she provides there is no telling the condition my skin would be in after cancer treatment.

Kristine, Breast Cancer

“Looking and Feeling Fab has been an incredible resource for me during my breast cancer journey. During my first consultation, Holly went over my diagnosis, treatment plan and adapted the skincare regimen to my needs, making the experience extremely personalized.  While the people behind the organizations are simply amazing, the products that are shared, at no cost to those in treatment - and beyond, are the highest quality. During treatment, I’ve been told numerous times how beautiful my skin looks.  During the most difficult times, it was a relief to feel some sort of normalcy, and being a part of this organization gave me just that. For anyone undergoing cancer treatment or for those in remission, I could not be more proud to recommend a visit with Holly at Looking and Feeling Fab!

Carolyn, Breast Cancer

Hi, I’m a two-time cancer survivor.  Most recently I had breast cancer with surgeries, reconstruction, chemotherapy and immunotherapy.  During this time, I started to develop rashes and hives.  My skin was burning, stinging, and itching.  The treatments left me with what is called chronic urticaria or hives.  Often times debilitating the Dr’s at Dana-Farber were at a loss of how to help me. The Dr’s at Brigham & Women’s hospital have me on high dosages of antihistamines and injections.  Still the hives raged on!I met Holly Brown from Looking & Feeling FAB when she was one of our guest speakers at the Livestrong Program.  Her presentation showed us her passion for helping cancer patients with skin conditions.   Holly provided me with creams and powders to soothe the itching and burning.  Also an essential oil that I call “ Liquid gold” that calms my skin in minutes and a cold roller to run over my skin when things became unbearable.  After trying so many over the counter and prescription products with no relief, the products from Looking & Feeling FAB are helping me manage my condition. Holly introduced me to Christina. I meet with her once a month to review my condition. When I am there, I have a facial or massage.  Christina is helping me recover from all that cancer brings physically and emotionally.  There are many days and nights I have walked the floors with burning, stinging, itching skin, thanking god for the help from Looking & Feeling FAB.   Thank you!

Melanie, Leukemia

Meet Melanie! As with many of the residents of Puerto Rico, her home was ruined by the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria last year. And when she found herself diagnosed with cancer some time later, the hospitals there were not equipped to treat the rare type she had. Her family has very strong ties to their community and their church raised enough money to send her and her parents to the U.S. for the treatment she needed. After going through radiation from head to toe, Melanie found her skin to be severely damaged all over her body it was dry, sensitive, flaky, itchy, and discolored. She came to FAB in the hopes of healing her skin. After only a couple of months she is happy with the dramatic results her specialized in-spa treatments and home care provided and all at no cost to her. Her skin is soft, supple, healthy, and the lightening of her dark spots are a testament to a great skin care regimen. Her father says his daughter Melanie gets more and more beautiful everyday! She was so inspired by the help she received by Holly, Christina, and Barbara, she is going to enroll in Esthetics school and become an Oncology Esthetician so she can help others with what she’s overcome.

Robert, Melanoma

“I was diagnosed with Melanoma in June of 2015.  I was placed on 2 chemo drugs Vemurafenib and Trametini B.  As a result one of the side effects was skin sores.  I was told about the foundation Looking & Feeling FAB, by a friend.  Cancer being the frightening life altering experience that it is, I was very skeptical to try anything.  I finally met with Holly Brown at my house, and she brought all of the lotions and cleansing foams and showed me how to use them step-by-step.  I began to use all of the products and within days I could see a difference, and within, and within 2 weeks they were pretty much gone.  I cannot say enough about Holly’s foundation and her patience and kindness taking me through all this

Amy, Breast Cancer

Look & Feel Fab was a blessing, as I needed chemo and radiation.  LFF has been kind, courteous, respectful, professional, and helpful. My skin went through many changes with chemo and radiation. People noticed how great it looked. I started the oil and lotion regimen prior to my radiation and had very minimal burning or redness. The program helped my journey through radiation. My physician and nurse were all very impressed. To date, I do not have redness or discoloration.  My skin treatments help skin maintain its flexibility and smoothness. The regimen helped through physical therapy and preparation for my last breast surgery. I have found the program extremely beneficial and have recommended it. My nurses were not aware of the program and now have information to help others.

Jenn, Old Colony Hospice

“She looked beautiful and so happy!  I happened to call a few minutes ago and they all raved about it.  You made a family very happy today.  Thanks again.”

“Before I started FAB, I had extreme acne breakouts and very dry patches. I always wore makeup to hide the facial imperfections.  Now my skin is clear and soft, and I go out wearing just tinted moisturizer. My self image and self esteem has improved dramatically.”

Jennifer, Breast Cancer

Holly and Looking and Feeling Fab were just what I needed to help me feel whole again.  You see I had breast cancer and after going through chemo, surgery and radiation I was left feeling ugly, cancer is ugly and it made me feel ugly.  Then I met Holly at Looking and Feeling Fab she was like an angel. She knew so much about the effects/after effects of cancer treatments and what it does to the skin, she taught me a lot. More importantly she treated me with dignity.  She treated my skin, she was gentle, caring and explained everything in detail. Because of Holly and what she does I feel beautiful again. It's hard to have confidence meeting people when you feel ugly, people see your face first, then they see you.  Holly, thank you for what you do, how you do it and why you do it. I would not have felt worthy of my new job if it were not for you giving me the care and confidence to put myself out there face first. Thank you for everything you do

“Although I have just started with the program, I am very impressed with the people and products representing this program. I had no idea they were people and programs to help people like me. I feel very lucky to have been introduced to this through the American Cancer Society. I do not know any other program that does so much for people with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Using these products every day has helped the overall quality of my life and skin. The representatives of your program looking great and feeling fab are extremely helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable regarding cancer and it's effects on in my life. It certainly has put a bright spot in my life. My skin is so much better and the itchiness has improved by at least 70% so far. I have not yet started the treatment part of the program, as I am very new to it. I am anticipating the treatments to be extremely helpful. Besides the physiological changes I have experienced psychological changes as well. Just sitting and talking with your representatives at appointment has given me new knowledge about my disease as well as the problems with my skin. It is wonderful to talk to someone who understands and has such knowledge on both subjects.so I will certainly recommend this program to other people I know and also recommend donations to the program. Thank you very much for everything you do.”

Judithe, Lung Cancer, Lupus

“This service has been a God-send as I have been on disability since cancer dx. My skin had withered due to reconditioning. Now it is stronger not wrinkled with less bruises. Very grateful got this service and to Holly for her hard work.”

Kim, Breast Cancer

I was diagnosed with DCIS (stage 1) breast cancer in April of 2016. I am very lucky to have caught this since the cancer cells were started to invade the duct wall. I had a partial mastectomy on my right side, then in June, had 33 radiation treatments.   In the beginning, the radiologist gave me a cream to use. I applied it the morning before my treatment (my treatments were at 2:00pm every afternoon), and then again right after treatment. During that first radiation treatment, and for the few days after that, I thought I noticed a “burning” smell each time I had the radiation treatment. I mentioned this to the Dr… and was told that they do not usually hear about this, and that everything was “ok”. Something just did not “feel right” to me.  This is when I decided to contact the Virginia Thurston Healing Garden in Harvard MA to ask if there was someone that I could talk to about how to prepare and get through the radiation process… I felt like I needed more information and support, and that is when I met Holly Brown.   Holly was so friendly, and a calming huge support in those vulnerable days… She suggested that I use her special oil, and cream. I used this FAITHFULLY every single day, and a while after radiation was finished. I totally “ditched” the cream the hospital gave me. I found my rhythm with it all. From that point on, I decided NOT to apply anything in the morning. I would go to my radiation appt. at 2:00, bringing Holly’s cream and oil with me, then applying it in the changing room right after my treatment. Then, apply it all again right before I went to bed at night. I can tell you that THIS WORKED. Throughout my 33 rounds of radiation, I did not get bad burns at all on my skin externally. (internally I was pretty sore, and by the end pretty uncomfortable I’m sure due to healing from surgery, as well as the radiation). By the end of the radiation, my skin was pink, but had no worse burning or scabbing at all. I totally attribute that to Holly’s oil and cream. If I felt a “burning/hot” sensation, I did use pure aloe from time to time and that really helped, along with a special ice roller that Holly gave me to use as well.   Here I am a year out from the end of that whole experience… I feel so very lucky to have gotten through it all and am doing well. I can not thank Holly ENOUGH for her support, her products and knowledge about radiation and how to get through it all. Hopefully things will be on a consistent “clean” path with NO CANCER. I am also now on a regime of Anastrazol for 10 years. So far, so good. I am really now starting to get much more active too… 3 weeks ago I climbed Mt. Manadanock! WOW. One day at a time….   THANKS SO MUCH HOLLY!!!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK YOU ARE DOING!!!!!!!!!
